Hi,

I have been having trouble with this program's run time error 9 stuff so i have decided to use the Vista Sidebar gadget available from http://www.entachoice.org.uk/central-gadget/

Problem is im on XP, so i need some extra stuff. After looking through a variety of sidebar mods most turned out to be very limited only using the gadgets they provide. Eventually i found this one http://webtrickz.com/use-vista-real-side...-download/

This bar is an exact replica of the vista sidebar & also comes with a program called Gadget Extractor which will extra any gadget made for the vista bar & allow the program to use it as a gadget for xp.

Simply install the Vista Bar from the above link, download the vista gadget from the 1st link. Then simply double click the vista gadget and it will load it into the bar allowing you to use it.

The Vista gadget is a bit basic on the UI but it does show you the Central, Central Speed, Peak & Offpeak bandwidth usage/limit.

Hope this helps someone as it helped me

Hi, i would like to offer a few ideas / notes on this awsome tool.

1) When you exceed your bandwidth the percentage sticks at 100% when mathmatically it should exceed 100% (eg i have 60gb tarrif and i use 66gb tarrif it should read 110% used as opposed to 100%). Im not sure if all the supported ISP's do this but entanet will move you up to the next tarrif if you exceed, it would be useful if that were reflected by the program.

2) When you are approaching your bandwidth limit it would be nice to get a warning, mayby when you get to 90% you get a ballon warning in the system tray, at 95% mayby the tray icon goes red & flashes. Or something ;)

3) When you are at 100% bandwidth the bar (on the app not system tray) actually goes beyond the border slightly. Not a problem just asthetics.

4) Adding/Making a Windows Vista Sidebar Gadget version would be AWSOME!

5) For some reason when you first start the application the Adapter under the live usage settings reads as a 3com card. Easy to change to "my" card but once again asthetically it would be nice if it auto selected the right card instead of one used in testing (i presume)

6) Some more asthetics; ive noticed that there is some information hidden inside entatool that can only be viewed when you resize/maximise the app. Might want to disable resizing ;)

7) Not too sure if this is applicable but it would be nice if the "Charge this month" section included any "excess of bandwith" charges and mayby even VAT to give a more accurate charge.

I think that pretty much covers everything, i know some of this is pretty pointless so feel free to ignore it just thought id mention it ;)

If you ever decide to rewrite this software in pascal id be willing to help ya out ;)

According to EntaTool right now I'm using "Peak" bandwidth (the "peak used today" bit) - except I'm on an Office Plan (as selected on the settings page), so since 8pm it has been Offpeak.

Is this a glitch?

(tarp on vivaciti (aka Kludge)) i'm still getting app crashes if i go over my bandwidth limits (almost every month :P ) and theres no easy way to figure out how much bandwidth i've used before i (again) go over the limits Its easy enough to figure out if the app doesn't crash out and allow me to calculate used bandwidth and excess amounts, and compare it to vivaciti's price list

for example

i'm currently on Office 45 which has 45GB peak and 300GB off-peak... I've gone over the 300GB off-peak as I forgot to enable my scheduler... As a consequence to this now the entatool isn't able to update without crashing out i'll have to wait for the usage stats to poll at the entabilling to see what i have left (I know i have plenty of peak usage left!)

Just a quick post, it affects me, No idea if anyone else :) Thanks for an awesome tool... I have lots of alternate ISP users envious ;)!
